this topic is being worked on in the IETF DNSOP WG, see
<draft-ietf-dnsop-resolver-priming-00.txt> (to be revived soon).
Priming queries could use EDNS0 with a minimum maximum size TBD, maybe 1024.
You'd probably have to implement non-EDNS0 fallback as per RFC 2671 to cope
with walled garden environments.  Looking foreard to your feedback!
