You don't need to. Use the entire line as your make command (assuming
libpcap.so is in /usr/local/lib):

 $ cd dsc-200808052354/collector
 $ LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/usr/local/lib" LD_OPTIONS="-lresolv -lnsl -lpcap -lsocket" gmake
