[dns-operations] about NXDOMAIN under the TLD .ws

Well, for the same reason other registrars did it in the past (no finger pointing):

to catch “fat fingers” and try to sell domains to those guys…

Did you try opening this up in a web browser? You’d land on a page offering to buy “your own .ws domain name”.
