Both domains are in the "client hold" state, which means that the
domain is registered by no DNS records are published in the zone.
This means that WHOIS and DNS are at least consistent.  As far as I
know, registrars can set the "client hold" state freely, so this is
very likely caused by issues further down the chain and is not
actually a .COM/Verisign issue.
