You misunderstand.  Afraid.org (FreeDNS) was not contacted.  This happened at the registrar.  If not there, then it would have moved to the registry.  This is a ridiculously bad path to be going down.  It's as bad as the new ideas for COICA which were presented today to great and idiotic applause in DC.
