You can also apply for a record type of your own, it is much easier
since the publication of RFC 5395, which relaxed the rules. Its first
success was the registration of NINFO (formerly ZS)

3.1.1.  DNS RRTYPE Allocation Policy

   Parameter values specified in Section 3.1 above, as assigned based on
   DNS RRTYPE Allocation Policy, are allocated by Expert Review if they
