As far as current practices go, a few DNSSEC records (e.g., RRSIG)
contain unsigned 32 bit timestamps. As Matthew Dempsky suggests, you can
put this in the RDATA of an RR in the private space.

TSIG records include an unsigned 48 bit timestamp. Postpones the 2038
bug by about 9 million years.
