as i said in "what dns is not" (http://queue.acm.org/detail.cfm?id=1647302)
the benefits of outsourcing web publication do not include reliably short
paths from the average consumer to a distributed server.  there are some
benefits but they aren't touted.  this one, that's touted, doesn't happen
often enough to be worth its salt.
