I am confounded to see reports of a company's mistake on a mailing
list like this. What's the point, trying to embarrass the company?
Reports like this are why other companies will "cover up" mistakes to
avoid the embarrassment. I.e., these messages are not helpful and
harm the community spirit of the Internet.
When a problem like this is seen, try contacting the company, not a
court of public opinion. You have the ability to contact them. They
can fix it. This list, unless one of their tech guys is on it, can't.

I'm sure if their email is hosed, you can pick up the phone and
report the error to their tech staff directly.

How do you know that (ALL?) customers using those servers are not
also using other servers, therefore, not offline?
