The list's existence is public, so there are a lot of subscription requests
where people just sub to every list we operate, out of curiosity I suppose.
But the list is quiet enough and focused enough I don't even think that poses
a serious problem.

The way we mitigate this on most lists we operate is that new subscribers are
individually moderated by default, and have that flag removed on their first
post.


I'll wait another couple of days to see if anyone else has any comments to
add, but at the moment I'm inclined to remove the requirement that list
subscriptions be approved.
