Yup. The DNAME solution will be a new subnet as well (because simply
pointing the traffic at servers that were not prepared for it would be
uncool), and so AS112 operators can opt-in by adding the zone, and
announcing the new network...

I don't think the execution is relevant when it was obviously a bad idea in
the first place.
This is like putting rabid weasels in your pants, and later expressing
