Yes, dsc-datatool need to correctly support empty records but it was
quite a while ago I created all this so I can't remember what influx
wants as a empty records.

We (OARC) are also preparing for our 30th workshop in May Bangkok so I
don't really know when I will have time to look at this. An issue is a
better way to track it.
