I wonder if DNS operators should try to have a domain for status
and contact that is as independent of their production domains as
possible. For example, denic could use something like denic.net.
And then try to advertise that as the domain to use when things
fail.

<p>Sounds like a good idea. Any TLDs or others who either do this,
