That's not a contrary note at all! My suggestion was only if people want to revisit the recommendations in RFC 7646 in a way that makes it into a revision, those discussions should start with an update draft and then be taken to the place where the update can actually be made. If there is no desire to update the RFC but still discuss how it works in operations, this list is actually probably better than DNSOP for that.
