The latest MaxMinds GeoIP country dataset reports, for example:

IP and Google location MaxMinds GeoIP
    ---------------------- -------------
    172.253.3.0/25 nrt JP, Japan
    172.253.3.128/25 lbg JP, Japan
    172.253.4.0/25 hkg HK, Hong Kong
    172.253.4.128/25 lbg HK, Hong Kong
    172.253.5.0/25 hkg HK, Hong Kong
    172.253.5.128/25 mad HK, Hong Kong
    172.253.6.0/25 hkg HK, Hong Kong
    172.253.6.128/25 nrt JP, Japan

Only the last pair matches the Google data in both halves of the /24.
Neither LBG (Paris) nor MAD (Madrid) are in HK.
