Please permit me to remind you of the upcoming ICANN DNS Symposium and our call for presentations. Please see the details below.

We are still soliciting presentations: please send a one-paragraph description of your proposed topic on the theme of "DNS ecosystem security: we're all in this together" to ids-proposals at icann.org<mailto:ids-proposals at icann.org> by Friday, 21 February 2020. We will publish a preliminary agenda on 28 February 2020.

We'd also like to thank everyone who has already submitted proposals. We have some compelling submissions and are looking forward to putting together a great program.

Dear colleagues,

ICANN’s Office of the CTO is pleased to announce that the fourth ICANN DNS Symposium (IDS 2020) will be held 7-8 May 2020 in Paris, France. IDS 2020 is co-locating with the sixth GDD Industry Summit (3-6 May 2020), the Registration Operations Workshop - ROW (6 May 2020) and the OARC 33 Workshop (9-10 May 2020).

The theme for IDS 2020 is: "DNS ecosystem security: we're all in this together". As the DNS protocol and its ecosystem have matured, the risk tradeoffs and threat landscape have evolved with it. IDS 2020 will focus on measurements and mitigation measures driven by continued progress led by community work.

The first day will focus on measurements and statistics of all aspects of the DNS ecosystem. We expect to cover topics of interest to people from Internet service provider communities to application developers, and those with registrar, registries, registrants and user perspectives.

The second day of the IDS will focus on changes in technology, protocols and operations, and the effects those changes have on the DNS for good or ill.

We are soliciting proposals for presentations. Please send a one-paragraph description of your proposed topic to ids-proposals at icann.org<mailto:ids-proposals at icann.org> by Friday, 21 February 2020. We will publish a preliminary agenda on 28 February 2020.
