[dns-operations] Anyone from Namecheap here? Whois - Zone Discrepancy

Hi Folks,
I am looking into some domain names that have A glue records in the
zone files and Whois entry in the database but not the related NS
records in the zone.
Looking at Whois data, the most involved registrar is Namecheap.
Is here someone of Namecheap that can help me to understand a bit more
the cause of the problem?
I am wondering if Namecheap allows the domain registration without
setting up NS records.
