The domain is delegated from .com, but has no NS or SOA records at the zone apex:

   http://dnsviz.net/d/tplinkdns.com/dnssec/

It does serve records for what look like customer devices:

   aghering.tplinkdns.com. IN A 83.86.241.197

However, it also returns the same (length 4 IPv4 address) RData
when asked for AAAA records:

  $ unbound-host -t aaaa aghering.tplinkdns.com 
  aghering.tplinkdns.com has IPv6 address \# 4 5356F1C5

This looks like a DNS implementation that cuts a few too many corners...
