[dns-operations] Logging queries for BIND DNS server

Hello,

We are trying to understand how query logging is typically deployed in BIND DNS server deployments.
Do most organizations enable logging on the DNS server and direct logs to /var/log/messages or some such file on the local system OR they direct all logging to a remote centralized syslog server.
Is there any other best practice followed while enabling logging for BIND DNS server.
