Hi all,

The code that powers the DNS/DNSSEC diagnostic tool at http://dnsviz.net/
is available as a python library and command-line suite under an open
source license at GitHub [1]. The code has had several development
releases, each with increasing code stability and features, the latest of
which is version 0.5.0 [2].

Features
 - DNS diagnostic queries to either recursive (new!) or authoritative
servers,
 - Discovery of DNS authoritative servers following delegation or explicit
designation (new!) of authoritative servers
 - Serialized (JSON) diagnostic query/response information
 - Serialized (JSON), printed (terminal or text), and graphical
presentation of diagnostics
 - IPv4 and IPv6 support
 - DNS-over-HTTP looking glass (new!)*

(* This will be implemented in the online version soon. If you're
interested in hosting a DNS looking glass for the DNSViz Web site (
http://dnsviz.net/), please contact me about it.)

I announce this release here because it marks a milestone in stability and
features, but for questions and discussion about the software, there is a
users list at:

Or you may reply to me directly.

Cheers,
Casey
