Well, it's another TLD from Donuts, Inc., and last week brought us
.LIGHTING and .EQUIPMENT from Donuts (along with 7 others). Just looking
at the TLDs delegated so far without even looking at the 300+ other TLDs
Donuts applied for, I'm guessing they'll be going out after all the
electricians and plumbers of the world to try to convince them that they
absolutely need to have a .lighting or .plumbing TLD. How well that will
work, I don't know. I don't even know if my plumber has a website. (But
then again, that may be their plan... go after that market with a domain /
web hosting package, etc., all pre-set and ready to go.)

I admit it would kind of be fun to have "internet.plumbing"... :-)
(although it would actually be fun to have that domain and point it to the
IETF's site.)

Given the rate these TLDs are supposed to be released at, I expect these
messages about domains being delegated will get to be old after a while...
but at the moment there is a certain level of entertainment value in
seeing them. Of course, when it will get really interesting will probably
be in January or so when General Availability hits for some of these and
we start seeing what levels of interest there really is in all these
newgTLDs. Should be an interesting ride!
