To synthetize the many good answers you received:

1) Pragmatically, if you can convince Mozilla's bureaucracy to
register .CW in the Public Suffix List, the majority of your problems
will be solved (but slowly: broken Web forms do not check this list
every day).

2) This problem comes from an unilateral decision by lazy and/or
incompetent programmers. There is nothing that IETF, ICANN, OARC or
Amnesty International could do.

3) The email people are fighting with similar problems (arbitrary and
unilateral decisions by random people) for many years. Do not expect
miracles.
