I thought this was an elaborate April 1 "joke", and am concerned that others did not. But just in case I'm wrong: what problem is solved by another root operator? I could care less about the technical solution (one-character TLDs is a poor choice, FWIW) and political punting. I don't see why it is even a consideration. --Paul Hoffman
