I would suggest the original poster had taken a much broader view.
There is of course an effect - yet to be quantified - when the
resolver population grows and shows a more transient behaviour.
That this might be marginal compared to the white (well, not so)
noise observed at infrastructure authoritative servers, is a different
issue.
