The root. And it was a TXT for the name
vrsn-end-of-zone-marker-dummy-record.root:

VRSN-END-OF-ZONE-MARKER-DUMMY-RECORD.root. TXT plenus

It disappeared during the great reorganisation of the root zone on
2010-07-16.

There have been a lot of fuss about it
<http://www.circleid.com/posts/where_did_the_root_top_level_domain_come_from/>
(it was a time where ICANN was claiming that adding even one TLD to
the root could destroy the whole known world).
