As one of the authors of that document, an an operator of a large anycast network, I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. Note that the presentation primarily discusses authoritative servers and the interaction between unicast recursive clients and anycast authoritative servers, but I'd be happy to answer questions you might have about anycast recursive resolvers as well.
