seems to me i want reverse mapping for three main things

  o make life easy for ACLs in address space i own.  e.g. hosts.allow
    tacacs.  the addresses are pretty much static.

  o traceroute through backbones, i do not care about comcast's leafs,
    so this too is pretty static.

  o log processing, and here we hit the dynamic problem of end users.
