I'm neither Joe nor Dave, didn't work at Afilias or RIPE NCC or ISC, and certainly don't live in the freezing tundra they willingly expose themselves to. But I do work at ICANN.
Today my responsibility is for various aspects of the what is considered the IANA. That primarily involves managing what goes in a small uncontroversial zone that holds just shy of 300 delegations, a task that has sometimes been equated to editing a spreadsheet. Previously meddled with setting up a ccTLD manager (auDA), a peering point (WAIX), and then spent the last few years slowly circumnavigating the globe to work in Austria, Belgium and now the US.

Previously I ran the DNS group at Afilias (.org, .info, etc), and prior to that I've done DNS at ISC (F-root) and RIPE NCC (K-root).
