    That's precisely Florian's point. The official story says "removed
    from the DNS root zone no later than 30 September 2009" but it is
    still there (for the unofficial reasons explained by Kim Davies).
    
Kim of course knows best.

The official story says:

	...so that it (YU) may be removed from the DNS root zone
	no later than 30 September 2009.

and I read that as a MAY and not as a MUST. There are apparently
reasons to extent the term.
