No (and the articles you mention are quite content-free and seems to be
OpenDNS ads) but the problem goes on:

% check_soa eircom.ie
ns.eircom.ie has serial number 569
There was no response from ns1.eircom.ie
There was no response from ns3.eircom.ie

This one seems to be more detailed and suggest that part of the
problem was because of counter-measures:
