BTW, typing 

"about:dns" 

into the address bar of Chrome gives some interesting insight into its
DNS cache. It also lists all the names that it has queried, and includes
perfetching stats. Excerpt from that debug page:

"Cache evictions negated DNS prefetching benefits for 2 hostnames
Prefetching DNS records was not yet beneficial for 10 hostnames
Previously cached resolutions were found for 2 hostnames
Prefetching DNS records revealed non-existance for 1 hostname"

also includes statistics about DNS query times - wondering whether it
transmits that information to Google as well - could be interesting to
registries too, actually...
