I have to say that I don't know this event from any other, I wouldn't 
have known about it but for the posts here.  Yet I am surprised at 
the antipathy it is getting.  Just because it isn't "one of our own" 
doesn't mean it will be a waste of time.

No, I don't plan to go or to ask my boss about it.  It is the week 
before the NANOG/ARIN meeting and two weeks before RIPE, and four 
weeks before ICANN.
