For those attending the dns-ops meeting in person. There will be some
instructions and temporary network authentication credentials for using
wireless available at the meeting, but in case you'd like to get a head
start in connectivity setup keep reading.
DePaul now uses a VPN-based system, which requires some VPN client
software to be running on your host. I realize this may not be the
ideal situation for visitors or unbecoming for many geeks, but take
a look at the standard instructions here to get an idea of what is
required:
<http://wireless.depaul.edu/>
and if you're using some form of Linux there is this:
<http://osdir.com/ml/user-groups.linux.depaul-lug/2007-01/msg00007.html>
Other OSes or complaints, please just contact me privately. I no longer
do netops at DePaul so things aren't exactly the same as I remember them,
but if I can't help I'll find someone who can.
John
