I'd like to know this too, given that we have done tests which show
AXFR/IXFR work perfectly well under quite high loads on largeish
zones.  I have heard, many times, hand-wavy claims about how [AI]XFR
doesn't work correctly, but I've never seen a test case that proved
it.  I grant that .com might be a special case, though.
