From dblists at icloud.com Thu Feb 20 12:49:51 2025 From: dblists at icloud.com (Denesh Bhabuta) Date: Thu, 20 Feb 2025 12:49:51 +0000 Subject: Seeking new career opportunities. Message-ID: Hi all Due to the economic downturn in our industry, DNS-OARC has had to implement redundancies. As a result, my contract has been terminated, and I am now available for new opportunities. I have truly enjoyed and appreciated my 12 years at OARC, initially under Keith Mitchell?s stewardship, and will sincerely miss working alongside my oustanding colleagues. Although based in the UK, I am actively seeking global roles?whether as an independent contractor, employee, part-time, full-time, or on a casual basis. For those unfamiliar with my background, I have been with OARC since 2013 as Events Director, managing end-to-end logistics, contract negotiations, and revenue strategies. Over time, my role expanded to include community outreach and advocacy, eventually creating and leading the Community Relations and Operations team, which encompassed membership, operational administration, events, and outreach. Leadership even referred to me as OARC?s ?Internal CEO.? Beyond OARC, I have previously served on the boards of several organisations, including Nominet, LONAP (as Finance Director), the UK ENUM Consortium governance body, and UKNOF (the UK Network Operators Group). I am a proactive leader and a strong advocate for collaboration, with a track record of uniting stakeholders across the industry. My tenure at UKNOF as Executive Director (and Acting Managing Director for a period) and as Events & Operations Director reflects this commitment. Additionally, I founded PTNOG (Portuguese Network Operators Group). I am passionate about improving the industry for all and have actively contributed to working groups and committees since 1996. More recently, I have been involved with the RIPE Diversity Task Force and co-chaired the Code of Conduct Task Force, helping shape the current Code of Conduct and its processes. With extensive remote work experience since 1997, I am highly skilled at collaborating with distributed teams and regularly travelling for events and meetings. I have truly enjoyed and valued my 12 years at DNS-OARC, beginning with the OARC Workshop in Dublin in May 2013. I had the privilege of working under Keith Mitchell?s leadership until just over a year ago, when Phil Regnauld succeeded him. I will sincerely miss working with my outstanding colleagues Matthew Pounsett, Michael L. Baer, Jerry Lundstr?m, Rebecca Petro, Steve Sullivan, and (now retired) Sue Graves. I am also grateful to the various Board members for their ongoing support throughout my tenure and have truly appreciated the opportunity to work closely with the Program Committee members and Chairs over the years. While I ideally seek a role aligned with my experience, I am open to exploring opportunities in various capacities. If you know of a suitable position, are interested in potential collaborations, or would like a copy of my CV/resume, please feel free to email me at mail at denesh.uk.
