[Collisions] Collisions, smollisions!

I'm getting the impression, especially considering the title of this mailing list, that those waving the "controlled interruption" flag are of the opinion that all this DITL data (NXDOMAIN?) is caused by collisions between private and public network spaces, and thus needs to be blocked.

Has anyone involved in these discussions finally come to the realisation that this is not the case and that a lot of this NXDOMAIN traffic is to be expected, is not the result of a collision, and is in fact a healthy sign?
