That's what we decided at PeeringDB as well, at least for the time
being.

We ended up with a semi-solution of listing each IX that offers as112
under the Public Exchange Points at https://as112.peeringdb.com which
is a method most of the bigger networks handle correctly. I agree that
putting a better explanation in the notes section would be a good
thing, however that's still not going to stop automated emails.
