Don't know about academic and research networks, but here at a plain old regular commercial network (AS53582) the route is coming through Hurricane Electric:

  6939 6509 2884 112

I started setting up our AS112 anycast node here with the IPv6 prefix, but I didn't announce it yet.  I'll wait for a message on the mailing list here to say it's time.
